Our Principal System Engineering is responsible for the Hands-on function that ultimately results in the delivery of an application or service. Responsible for translating the core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution (consisting of platform, network, software, cloud, etc.) through functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development throughout the vertical stack. Defines designs; Provides technical enablement for application components and application subsystems. Drives important design decisions for development team. Key Roles and Responsibilities: + Elaborate the design and interfaces for specific components + Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context + Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces + Validate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives + Establish critical NFRs at the solution level, participate in the definition of others. + Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipelines + Develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities + Work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers + Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, retrospective workshops + Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms. Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View + Contribute to design and implementation of cloud solutions which are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable and cost optimized + Design and develop solutions for Azure migrations and transformation tools + Design, develop, and implement redundant and distributed Kubernetes-based solutions + Automation of cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance + Build, manage and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. + Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achieved.  Focus on scalability, security and availability of all infrastructure and processes. + Identifying and addressing infrastructure deficiencies, availability gaps, and performance bottlenecks + Serve as escalation for T2-T3 cloud infrastructure support + Help to determine technical feasibility of solutions for business requirements + Design and implement cost-containment strategies for cloud infrastructure expense. + Collaborate with peer organizations, product delivery teams, and support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance. **Required Skills and Experience:** Requires 8-10 years experience in Solution Architecture Experienced in Implementation, Configuration and Testing Skilled in Java, cloud technology (Azure preferred), Git, Dockers, kubernetes, SQL **Education:** Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
