Responsibilities
Our client is looking for multiple Principal Systems Engineer to join their team! As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will serve as a critical member of an agile software development team where you will be responsible for various aspects of the systems engineering life cycle. Primarily, you will act as a liaison between stakeholders and development team where you will analyze customer needs, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. You will also assist customers in validating those requirements, advising them of alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies when necessary. You may also be required to lead design and development activities and serve as the Scrum Master for the team. Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding system development and implementation planning through the preparation of engineering and system integration and test plans.

Design and implement hardware and software solutions including documentation, testing & modification, schematics, mechanical drawings, cable assemblies, and parts listsTest and evaluate hardware and software designs to ensure proper operationSupport a Linux-based environment
Requirements
15+ years of experience with a Bachelors degree in a technical field of study is required. An additional 5+ years of equivalent practical experience may be substituted for a degreeAt least ten (10) years performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysisAt least ten (10) years leading, providing technical supervision, and guiding senior-level engineering personnel; solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget and schedule Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skillsPassion for technology and the drive to learnWe realize this is a long list of preferred various skills and experiences! - Don’t worry if you aren’t familiar with all of these. Only having some exposure and knowledge of the following various technologies is acceptable!:
Experience supporting a Linux environmentExperience with database design/operations/maintenance
Experience with reverse engineering
Experience with data normalization and cleansing
Experience with scripting
Experience with data analysis and visualization
Experience with data security
Experience with OracleEducation/Certification Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required. An additional 5+ years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degreeClearance Requirements
