Blue Platform is a UHG enterprise data-centric platform that integrates and unifies proprietary and 3rd party data to provide users with easy-to-access insights to drive sustainable growth. This is a C-level priority for UHG to build out the “third leg” of the business, complementing our existing strengths in UHC and Optum. It will involve building strong cross-group, cross-functional collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders and delivering a viable growth platform for 2024 and beyond. The Innovation and Growth Platforms and the Blue Program Leadership are looking for a Senior Manager, Technical Product Management to support the Blue Platform build and work closely with the engineering and data teams. We are looking for an ambitious, motivated candidate who is excited to drive one of the company’s biggest strategic priorities. This role will report to the Sr Director – Blue Product and will drive the execution of the roadmap for the Blue Platform, defining the detailed technical requirements for the platform and its interfaces with other capabilities across the organization. This role will work closely with the data, engineering and user experience teams to integrate and align the requirements, specifications and constraints of each element of the platform. They will also need to help identify gaps in resources, technology, or capabilities required, and work with the Blue Program Leadership to identify and implement solutions. _Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model._ **Primary Responsibilities:** • Influence and drive prioritization across Product Development roadmap, Product Backlog and Sprint Backlog • Ensure industry standard architecture and design patterns are followed • Understand system components and how they integrate • Evaluate technical alternatives and decompose complex problems into straightforward technical propositions • Fluent in Aha, Rally and Github • Ensure integration testing and automation best practices • Influence “Definition of Done” and ensure it is clearly understood and articulated to stakeholders • Hold teams to a high standard for delivery; identify risks and develop mitigation plans • Work collaboratively with the workstream teams to problem-solve ideas, identify creative solutions, provide constructive challenge, and make connections across the project • Provide guidance and foster collaboration with Product Managers working on the use case applications, to ensure both technical and conceptual alignment with the Blue Platform vision • Work closely with the Blue Program Director to keep a tight feedback loop with overall program and project timelines • Detail out requirements in Aha and keep them updated as discussions evolve. • Attend agile ceremonies for the program • Support with Build and Test phase of the Blue platform You will be rewarded and recognised for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in. **Required Qualifications:** • Proven experience in product strategy or business development either in a strategy organization or new business • Proven experience in Data and Analytics • Proactive, creative problem-solver, able to address challenges head-on - including knowing when to escalate issues or when to solve them in the team • Bias to action and “go getter” mindset, someone who figures out how to make things happen- • Structured thinker, able to mold ambiguity and uncertainty into clear actions and deliverables- • Strong product understanding and skill set, including customer-centric design and development- • Strong written skills and ability to translate business and technical requirements into product requirements • Good technical understanding, ability to constructively challenge technical decisions as needed • Strong prioritization skills and ability to drive focus – able to decide what is most critical or most urgent, and manage stakeholder expectations accordingly • Excellent listening, engagement, and communication skills, ability to influence others and understand the network of relationships that will be required to deliver • Track record of delivery on larger, complex, multi-stakeholder programs **Preferred Qualifications:** • Relevant advanced degree in sciences or technology or 10+ years’ experience delivering innovative technology products to customers • Previous experience launching new products and services that address a market problem or have earned new revenue • Previous experience in healthcare or related field • Experience in building ML based analytics products- • Experience in working with UX/ UI designs **Please note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
