Key job responsibilities
The Principal TPM will own programs, planning, and client engagement while building internal mechanisms to maximize productivity across engineering teams distributed across multiple locations. Working with hundreds of client teams, the TPM will partner with other leaders to self-identify and develop customer-facing mechanisms that improve roadmap prioritization, transparency, and customer satisfaction. Leaders in this role must create a culture of innovation, encouraging colleagues to find new and better ways to identify and solve problems.
The TPM will drive large-scale programs, including company-wide Search product expansion and operational cost improvements for Search and hundreds of client teams, while managing complex cross-functional technology initiatives. They will remediate critical problems and manage escalations as needed. The role involves disambiguating complex requirements, driving clarity, building consensus, and defining architectural strategies to meet Amazon builders' needs.
