Principal Technical Program Manager, Kuiper Quality

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
You will work with a cross-functional team from Engineering, Operations and Quality to continuously define and manage the requirements and scope of Kuiper's Quality Management System. This includes day-to-day management of deliverables, dependencies and schedule, as well as driving this complex project through its incremental phases. You will collaborate with Kuiper's leadership team at all levels to establish processes that track our goals, objectives, milestones, progress and risks, and drive organizational alignment on trade-offs and priorities. You will own coordination across the entire organization to facilitate product and service launches, as well as iterative feature delivery.
Key job responsibilities
- Establish and iterate quality management system processes for Kuiper manufacturing, operations and quality teams.
- Create and lead processes and solutions for delivery of high-quality inputs and operation of efficient non-conformance management workflows with the Kuiper Production System
- Support and organize the delivery of proactive quality assurance mechanisms within Kuiper Production System for manufacturing Low Earth Orbit satellites
- Lead initiates to foster a culture of quality, improvement and learning with Kuiper
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
You must be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project life-cycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking.

This role will be highly collaborative, requiring to leverage partnerships with cross-functional leaders to drive positive results. This role requires ability to define problem statements in highly complex business problems within the quality management domain and drive solutions through working with multiple technical and operational teams at Amazon.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
