Principal Technical Program Manager, Traffic Engineering
Amazon Traffic Engineering builds innovative managed compute and networking solutions that empower Amazon Software Engineers to build and operate services for Amazon’s customers that are secure, highly available, and easy to scale. We identify and support the foundational infrastructure capabilities, tools, and datasets needed to support rapid global expansion of Amazon's SOA (Service Oriented Infrastructure) infrastructure, built on top of AWS technologies. Our team focuses on robust and scalable architecture patterns and engineering best practices, driving adoption of ever-evolving and cutting-edge AWS technologies.

As a Principal TPM, you will take ownership of managed connectivity architecture that spans multiple products like Cloud Architected Network, BigMesh for centralized traffic management and SOA policy implementation at Amazon. Our team builds and operates innovative hosted compute platforms that empower Amazon's retail engineers to build architectures for their business solutions that are secure, available, productive, and cost efficient.

This position requires a program management background and direct experience managing large deliverables across multiple teams and organizations. You will create and drive high-level vision and strategic roadmap for Amazon managed connectivity architecture for SDO ( Stores, Devices and Others). A Principal TPM anticipates areas that require cross-organization alignment, as well as uses great judgement to balance deliverables, constraints, and dependencies to construct achievable and manageable milestones. Your ability to understand the big picture and plan ahead for dependencies and roadblocks is crucial.

Our vision is to make Amazon’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) more manageable and developers more productive by building an ecosystem of managed abstractions that allow Amazon Retail developers to focus on their unique business logic and business operations, knowing that security, authentication, authorization, load balancing, throttling and routing “just work” and are always consistent with Amazon best practices.

Come help us create and evolve the abstractions that make developing software at Amazon even more powerful and flexible!
