Principal Technical Program Manager

We are growing the Software Assurance Gateway team at OCI. Our mission is to build and operate a set of gateway services to ensure the security and integrity of the services running within a customer’s tenancy. The team will develop, maintain and operationalize this new class of services with a high degree of resiliency, scalability and performance to meet the critical business needs of our customers.

 

We are seeking a passionate, experienced Principal Technical Program Manager to tackle complex business and technical challenges for OCI. This role will be responsible for managing complex, cross-organizational, customer facing programs that drives significant impact as a strategic business for OCI. In addition, this specific role requires a passion for solving high-impact problems and the ability to jump into any in-flight project and get it on the rails.

 

Our Principal Technical Program Managers are required to define strategies for programs, identify technical impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirements, drive delivery, effectively communicate project status and suggest changes to use company resources more efficiently, regularly participate in executive meetings to present progress, and share project information with stakeholders. This is a senior level role, managing programs with visibility up to the VP/SVP level of OCI.

 

Basic Qualifications

5+ years leading complex hardware, firmware and/or software focused engineering programs 5+ years relevant work experience in program and project management Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Ability to effectively represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels including the executive level Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands. Strong knowledge and understanding of business need with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence Ability to mentor and develop junior program and project managers

Experience with cloud services, virtualization, or SaaS products Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at different levels in the org Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling
