The pay range is: $206,398.00 – $317,000.00

JOB POSITION: Principal Technical Program Manager
LOCATION: 7000 Target Parkway N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445
DUTIES: Provide program directorship for large and highly complex enterprise-wide initiatives. Distill initiatives to shape organizational goals and create tactical program management structure to mobilize their delivery. Create cross functional collaboration mechanisms to evolve the delivery strategy which could entail multiple bodies of work that could span years. Develop a keen understanding of the current state of the technology systems and can articulate the essential capabilities needed to achieve the required enterprise goals. Monitor programs and communicate the health of such large initiatives at all leadership levels within the enterprise. Provide knowledge on the product model and have experience in working in agile methodologies. Develop mechanisms to ensure the product visions, roadmaps and priorities are aligned to the enterprise objectives overseen. Amplify impact by coaching and mentoring an extended team of technical program managers and constantly share program/project process frameworks, tools and best practices that can be widely applied. Lead the technical program management function within a large product-oriented enterprise and have a strong influence in developing talent. Create and evolve the technical delivery strategy for large enterprise-wide initiatives. Partner with product leadership to align product vision with enterprise goals. Organize large enterprise-wide initiatives into bodies of work which can be independently managed. Mobilize strategy by creating delivery plans that align product schedules and dependencies. Deliver results by driving execution of programs spanning multiple organizations from design to rollout. Develop communication mechanisms to inform the health of enterprise-wide initiatives to all levels of leadership. Mentor Technical Program managers and continuously improve. Scale the organization by sharing program/project process frameworks, tools, and best practices. Tools and technologies used: Agile development methodology, Programming languages – COBOL, JavaScript, Unix Shell Scripting, Bash Scripting, Data structures - PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2 databases. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field and at least ten (10) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in software engineering/systems engineering (any title) including at least five (5) years of experience in software development management performing product development using Agile methodology, working with teams to deliver software, managing relationships with external partners, rebuilding software systems in microservices, international product expansion, and utilizing JavaScript, Bash scripting, data structures, business intelligence, software design, and MySQL. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.
