Your Team, Your Impact
As a principal test engineer in the Cloud Optics Product and Test Engineering group, you will be responsible for test development of advanced optical products for mass production. You will make sure we meet the product release schedule, achieve the required test capacity, and don’t ship out any underperforming units . You’ll work closely with design to make sure the product is testable and that the results meet the customer’s specifications.What You Can Expect
Architect and implement automated test systems (including software, hardware, and database) for optical module and component production, characterization, and developmentOwnership of manufacturing test methodology, test process, and test coverage to ensure product quality and reliabilityDevelop software and database tools for both production and development stage data analysis, data reporting, and WIP controlDefine and communicate design for test (DFT) requirements to design teams to ensure testability of the productsTransfer of production test capability to off-shore contract manufacturerCost reduction through test time reduction and yield enhancementSupport design, qualification, and operation teams on automated tests, such as characterization and reliability qualificationWhat We're Looking For
10+ years of experience developing automated test solutions relating to optical components or modulesKnowledge of optical systems, modules, components, and photonics devices (lasers, detectors, modulators, DWDM system)Experience with control mechanism of complex optical components or modulesProgramming in Visual Basic / VB.Net and database (SQL)Knowledge of scripting languages like Python is a plusStrong ownership, excellent communication, flexibility, and team spiritOptical Module test experienceBS degree or higher requiredExpected Base Pay Range (USD)
122,300 - 181,040, $ per annumThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
