Our United Express team selects and manages our airline partners and ground handlers that carry the United Express name, ensuring a safe and profitable operation, and providing flights to smaller communities across the entire country. **Key Responsibilities:** The primary role of the Principal – UAX is to lead the development of strategic analyses and reporting and measurement mechanisms for all levels of the organization and for our flying partners. The Principal is responsible for leading initiatives and developing analyses and insights in conjunction with the UAX leadership team and other United departments (i.e. Airport Operations, Technical Operations, etc.) to drive actionable and measurable improvements within the UAX organization! Additionally, this role will help own the development of strategies associated with the portfolio of partners operating for UAX. + Conducts routine and ad-hoc complex customer, operational and commercial analyses across various areas within United Express to support key business and operational decisions + Owns projects including driving the agenda, chipping in to strategy, and being accountable for deliverables with UAX functional teams and UAX flying partners with a focus on driving improvement, information and data and developing improvement opportunities across the operation + Leads problem solving and process improvement activities to help streamline reporting, analysis and measurement functions across UAX + Development of end-to-end executive level communications for high level report outs **Qualifications** **What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):** + Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Engineering OR related subject area involving quantitative analysis + 4+ years of experience working in data analytics, engineering or consulting + Root cause analysis + Airport or network operations + Experience in data analysis and visualization software + Experience with python or SQL + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position **What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):** + Master's degree + Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business Administration + Previous airline experience + Experience working with regional airlines + Specific expertise with United data systems + Expertise with Palantir's Foundry The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $135,960.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
