The OpportunityAs Bayer Crop Science's digital farming arm, we advance regenerative agriculture and technology breakthroughs using the latest agronomic science, data science, engineering, and real-world farming experience. With groundbreaking technologies like Climate FieldView and our ForGround regenerative agriculture platform, our team is a part of some of the most important advancements in ag. We are looking for a Principal UX Designer that is naturally curious, entrepreneurial, and has a track record of delivering end-to-end digital products, from vision and strategy to coordinating design delivery. Since this role is focused on the "in cab” experience of our platform, we are looking for a deep understanding of the current state of mobile experiences and best practices, with a critical awareness of implications on the overall platform UX and Information architecture. This role reports to the Head of UX Design at Climate.
Your Seat at the Table
Design has a clear seat at the table and shares the responsibility for product planning, execution, and success. You’ll be looked to as an expert in your field who will be held accountable for the end-to-end experience of a digital product or a suite of products. Key Job Responsibilities: Craft the Vision: Collaborate with Product Management & business stakeholders to integrate the mobile experience strategy into the product roadmap and evangelize, execute, and inspire teams around that vision. Define Direction: Define crisp product design direction for your areas, and collaborate with partner design, product management, marketing, and engineering teams around the globe. Forge Connections: Build strong relationships across all business units and disciplines, understanding their needs to create win-win solutionsChampion the Customer: Leverage user research, insights, experimentation, and optimization, ensuring our products meet our customers' expectationsCraft Exceptional User Experiences: Set a high bar for usability, functionality, and visual appeal. Zoom in and out between meticulous attention to detail and the broader visionExecute Flawlessly: Consistently ship solutions that meet timing expectations, embracing rapid iterations as needed. Develop clear and effective practices & processes with your product and engineering partners to ensure the team delivers quickly and efficientlyDrive Alignment: Communicate down, up, and out on your design decisions and back them up with data/customer insight.Empower Your Team: mentor and uplevel designers, cultivate a culture of collaboration, enabling your team to excel and deliver impactful high-quality work.Who You Are Required qualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in design-related field 12+ years of UI/UX design experienceAvailable online portfolioExperience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction DesignProficiency with Figma

Preferred qualifications
Understanding of digital agriculture or related industries (strong preferenceExcellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to summarize complex technical programs into a broader compelling narrativeWhat We Offer: Base salary estimated range between $131k – $196k annually, depending on the hiring location.
