Position Summary

Responsible for research, data analysis, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy, and operations. Also involved in business process improvement, quality control, special projects, and other initiatives. Lead planning efforts for Transmission and Substation Engineering resource balancing. Incorporate input from Business Finance and Program Management to guide planning and develop an executable plan. Expand the team’s planning and work plan reporting capabilities through model and tool development. Partner with the Transmission & Substation work management team to support in-year planning efforts. Present material and foster and lead discussions at the T&S Engineering Leadership Team meetings to enable timely decision making.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)    $132,000.00 Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)    $179,000.00 Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)    $226,000.00

 

Minimum Base Salary (California)    $125,000.00 Mid Base Salary (California)    $170,000.00 Maximum Base Salary (California)    $215,000.00

 

Responsibilities

Work with a cross functional team to develop a construction resource balanced work plan. Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross-functional impact. Responsible for consistent production and development of work plan execution reporting. Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders. Works with and leverages relationships with senior directors, directors, and managers across functions and PG&E. Gather, compile, manage, and distribute material for the Resource Plan meetings. Inclusive of detailed tracking of requests and documenting meeting decisions and action items. Manages cross functional projects or initiatives. Will provide direction and coaching to specialists.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required. 10 years of relative work experience.

 

Desired Qualifications:

MBA or graduate degree desired. Ability to think strategically and present an integrated, properly formatted, end-to-end story with concise data analyses. Good communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with various audiences. Strives for continuous improvement and creative problem solving. Advanced level in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience and knowledge of VBA a plus. Ability to quickly analyze data to make recommendations. Ability to develop and explain complex data models. Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity. Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams. Hands-on experience in utility planning, budgeting, and operations for both capital and expense work. Ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the department through data analysis, insights, and recommendations. Ability to coach and mentor specialists. Experience in SAP and Analysis for Office (AO).
