Kratos has an exciting opportunity for a Principle Engineer to plan, design, develop, integrate modules for Kratos OpenSpace 5G solutions. Work with a team to analyze and resolve issues discovered in all phases of software development life cycle. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: + Work with product group and technical leads to perform requirements design tradeoffs, scope new efforts and develop solutions in accordance with system and /product architectures. + Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, code comments, and clear code. + Build and maintain a robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipeline + Provide clear, concise documentation of features, APIs + Contribute to or take ownership of the end-to-end design and implementation of features, from early prototype to production release + Work with an Agile team, attend daily scrums and demonstrate working software while collaborating with a geographically distributed (remote) team + Drive a culture of high-quality software development, while following industry best practices + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement, planning them within the engineering design cycle iterations + Collaborate with outside contractors working in different time zones(India)on implementation of 5G features + Work with technical leads to understand 3GPP requirements Required Experience: + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with several years of related experience. + Solid Understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles and practices using C++. + Proficiency in using Python + Proficiency in software fundamentals, including architectural design, algorithm, development, data structures, code modularity and testing + Experience with open-source technology, 3rd Party code bases, software development, CICD pipelines + Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace Preferred Skills and Experience + Knowledge of LTE/5G system and 3GPP specifications and protocols + GIT/Bitbucket, JIRA, Bamboo + Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology #LI-Hybrid Competitive salary based on experience and education Salary Range: $190,000-$210,000 Kratos is valued for our ability to design and deliver leading edge, resilient solutions for aerospace communication, control, awareness and mission success across a continuum of offerings—from commercial to tailored custom solutions and integrated programs.
