Through our company-wide Design for Environment (DfE) program, launched in 1992, more than 50 environmental product stewards around the world work with design teams to identify and evaluate potential improvements in design alternatives, product labeling, chemical choices and recyclability. The principles of DfE help set requirements and fuel innovations in all new HP-designed hardware products and printing supplies. Environmental product stewards help teams to improve product performance, measure progress and communicate results to customers, HP management and other stakeholders. This position is required to enable HP existing and growth businesses to pursue new markets and product categories from a regulatory compliance and market access standpoint, for example Industrial Graphics, 3D Printing, and Specialty Printing Technology Solutions. Understanding the requirements and implementing product stewardship for these new markets supports business revenue growth.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure current inks meet regulatory and market access requirements throughout product changes and new or updated requirements.Work with R&D throughout the Product Development Process to ensure new inks meet regulatory and market access requirements.Ensure Hazard Communication requirements are met for labeling and Safety Data Sheets. Author Safety Data Sheets as necessary. Complete necessary Chemical Notifications for ink componentsRespond to customer inquiries and support internal partner requests for customer information, including VOC reports. Assist with annual import volume and shipment reporting by countryIssue regulatory information statements for customers and authorities. Validate and update as necessary. Lead and support the development and improvement of Product Stewardship processes and tools.Quarterly Business Reviews with business partners.Develop schedules, critical deliverables, budgets, resource allocation plans and other support requirements for assigned programs. (Project Management)Coordinate activities of project teams including internal and external development partners; track progress against established plans and make decisions to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.Communicate project status to a broad array of stakeholders and internal partners. Present summaries to management and team members.Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Toxicology.Knowledge and Skills:
