**Print & Lamination Department Manager** **Telford, PA** **$100k-$120k with Benefits** **Paid Holidays & Paid Time Off, Health, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, 401k Enrollment, Paid Parental Leave** Job Summary Role provides leadership for the manufacturing processes which includes rotogravure & flexographic printing, laminating, as well as supporting areas measured by key business indicators. Responsibilities Responsible for the performance of Print, Lamination, Ink, Make Ready, Washroom, Mounting, & Cylinder areas across all shifts, with an emphasis on safety, quality, throughput, and costs. Supervises, manages, and enforces company policy and standard work in all Print & Lamination areas. Essential Skills/Knowledge •Meet performance results as demonstrated by the company’s key business indicators: safety, first time-through, quality, retention, on-time-delivery, lead time, waste, and L/OH costs. •Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas. •Establishes internal customer service/relation by constantly receiving feedback and adapting plans to improve material quality. •Reviews capital projects and ensures department has equipment needed to support business goals. •Develop a high-performing workforce focused on mission and guiding principles. •Continue building a learning and teaching organization. •Responsible for efficient use of resources to achieve production goals and yearly cost savings. •Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume. •Plan and implement continuous improvement strategies aimed at achieving world-class production processes and aggressively work toward improving plant performance. •Maintain the 5S and visual management standards. •Effectively communicate with all members of the organization in a clear and respectful manner. •Responsible for inventory and ordering of inks and adhesives and disposal of hazmat drums. •Responsible for complying with local and federal environmental regulations for emissions and hazardous waste. •Supervises customer color approval and meets with customer to ensure expectations achieved. •Responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, blasting, and repairing cylinders and plates. •Supervise the cleaning of press parts and the organization & cleanliness of the wash & compactor room. •Supervises, coordinates, and ensures training of new hires is implemented per policy and timeline expectations. Provide routine feedback on training per policy. •Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the morale and professionalism of employees to achieve performance and turnover goals. •Fill-in for shift Supervisors on any shift as needed and assigned. •Must be able to adjust hours for high value projects and jobs as needed. Experience/Qualifications •Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or 8 years of supervisory experience in a related field. •Expertise in printing or lamination operation is required. •Expertise in rotogravure or flexographic is a plus. •Expertise in flexible packaging is a plus. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. •Strong organizational and time management skills. •Proven leadership skills. •Must be able to travel 20% of the time to visit customer and technical meetings. •Proven computer skills: Microsoft: Outlook Email, Calendar, Excel, and Word. Empower Payroll, Shop Floor: •Extensive periods of standing and sitting. Stooping and bending is necessary. •Must be able to lift/pull a minimum of 50 lbs. and leverage up to 400 lbs. via hand Truck.
