Definition: The Print Production Coordinator is responsible for end-to-end production of traditional print projects, from initial request to final product delivery. The coordinator will collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop print materal design and specifications, provide prepress services, and operate production equipment including a Xerox Versant 3100 digital color press, Epson T5270 wide format printer, along with bindery and finishing machinery. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Adobe Suite, InDesign, Microsoft Office, and print/prepress processes. Candidates should be adept at conducting press checks, possess knowledge of color processes, print finishing techniques and have experience ensuring that product quality meets company standard. 

General Duties:

 Printed Materials and /Inventory

Build relationships with internal clients and manage specifications for all print and fulfillment needs, particularly regarding production timing to ensure quality and on-time delivery within budget parameters. Receive and log print job requests via email and gain an understanding of the print production requirements. Work with the creative team to coordinate print material design and material specifications Coordinate with approved vendors for outsourced print production as required Maintain daily statues of all existing and new job requests in production queue to prioritize, increase efficiency, and deliver per established expectations. Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to make existing design layout adjustments, add bleeds, and other modifications to make files print ready. Monitor print runs to ensure accurate color management and quality assurance, adjusting as necessary. Prepare and manager jobs using Fiery Command WorkStation 6.7 (an EFI product). Operate production equipment including Xerox Versant 3100 digital color press, Epson T5270 wide format print, Duplo 646 slitter cutter creaser, along with bindery and finishing machinery.

Leased/Purchased Equipment

Coordinate Copier/Equipment Service. Issue/Record/Submit Purchase Order, Check Request, Expense Report and/or other Forms as needed. Allocate Invoice Charges. Order Office Supplies. Check and Respond to Emails daily.

Equipment Operation

Must be able to or have the ability to learn how to operate production (copiers and/or printers), postproduction and/or bindery equipment such as electronic paper cutter, automatic folder, booklet maker, laminating equipment, etc.

 Essential skills and experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Experience in Inventory Control preferred. Experience in Print Design preferred. Excellent Interpersonal and Oral and Written Communication Skills. Good Grammar and Spelling Skills. Ability to Multitask. Knowledge of MS Office including Explorer. Knowledge of Graphics Software including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite.

Physical demands and work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
