Business Operations manages various shared support services and enterprise-wide functions to include records information management, business continuity planning, workplace safety and security, travel, food service, staff health clinic, fitness center, parking garage, facilities and real estate management, media operations and print and mail services. The Print Production Manager plans and implements direct mail print production projects. Provides print and quality guidance for high-profile print projects. Partners with cross-functional teams to produce print projects for clients across the organization. Acts as a business liaison with print industry vendors in the manufacture of print projects and manages expenses. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline print production processes and to develop new procedures that support the business unit and/or department. Responsibilities Manages, tracks, and reports on complex print and mail projects including printed components, mail packages, and publications to successful completion. Employs best practices to ensure accuracy in approving proofs for print and mail projects. Creates and maintains accurate documents such as schedules, mail plans, production grids, vendor instructions, publications layouts, inventory, and status reports that are shared with clients, vendors, or other workgroups. Manages financial activities through creation of cost estimates, purchase orders, and contracts and reviews and approves invoices and accruals. Leverages print expertise to advise cross-functional teams how to optimize production and/or cost. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline print production processes and develop new procedures that support the organization and create cost efficiencies. Qualifications HS Diploma or GED required with 5+ years of experience as a direct mail production manager. Managing production of multiple large direct mail campaigns. Managing client and vendor relationships to ensure successful project completion. Intermediate knowledge of Office 365 suite. Preferred: Project manager experience. Finance (in the context of being a PM - manage the clients spending) and budgeting experience. Bachelor's Degree. AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.
