Summary

This position coordinates the majority of the print and photocopying services for the CRD, ensures the appropriate allocation of related charges, and processes outgoing and incoming mail for all service areas.

Key Duties & Responsibilities Completes a large number of print jobs for CRD service areas, including printing, binding, laminating, cerloxing and photocopying. Consults with clients regarding specifications, limitations, changes, completion time lines, suggesting alternative solutions where appropriate, and prioritizing requests to ensure quality service, professional appearance and timely delivery. Establishes prices for all Print Shop services and ensures appropriate allocation of related charges. Assists in the processing of Water Services Department invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Produces and distributes all utility and revenue billing. Operates and maintains various types of printing, binding and mailing equipment to ensure efficient processing and completion of requests, contacting service representatives for maintenance, adjustment and repairs and makes recommendations for upgrades and replacements as necessary. Ensures and takes stock levels to maintain a high level of production. Receives and processes outgoing and incoming mail and courier packages for CRD service areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Sorts and distributes all incoming Canada Post delivery and interoffice courier mail, directing mail to the appropriate service area/division promptly and efficiently to ensure deadlines are met. Maintains records of all Print Shop services and transactions and prepares related reports and cost allocations. Provides assistance to the interoffice courier contractor, as required. Researches other service needs required by CRD service areas/divisions, augmenting print shop usage by internal clients. Provides printing services to non-profits related to CRD service delivery as needed. Follows all policies, procedures and standards of the CRD. Working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of sophisticated photocopying and printing equipment including binding machines, laminators, folders and stuffers. Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and SharePoint skills. Strong proficiency and experience using Adobe Professional software. Strong ability to operate print and postage equipment. Advanced organizational skills, including the ability to work under pressure, prioritize work and to set and meet deadlines. Working knowledge of purchasing principles. Strong aptitude for accurate mathematical calculations. Good physical ability to stand for periods of time and lift supplies as necessary. Working knowledge of Printshop Manager software.Qualifications High School Graduation Post-secondary courses in a related discipline A minimum of 3 years' directly related experience An equivalent combination of education and experience Certifications Valid BC Driver's Licence
