The role of Print Shop Associate is one that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and an eye for quality. Print associates are responsible for handling all aspects of the printing process—from taking orders from customers to operating equipment to ensuring that printed materials meet quality standards. Print associates must be able to multitask effectively in order to handle the volume of work that comes their way on a daily basis. They may also need to troubleshoot problems with equipment or software as they arise.
\n\nDuties may include, but are not limited to the following:
\n\nOperates a variety of print shop equipment including bindery, folder, paper drill, jogger, cutter, special binding, and staplers. Collates materials both manually and with machinery.\nKnowledge of PDF Exchange, InDesign, Photoshop, Excel.\nDeliver mail to Post Office, FedEx, locate branch offices within a 20 mile radius.\nSets up, stocking, packing, inspecting each run for accuracy and quality. operates and maintains machinery for production of printed material. Performs routine maintenance and repair on equipment. Identifies and reports malfunctions. Receives work order requests. troubleshooting mechanical problems, optimizing material usage, and using computers to download files from email, so flexibility and the ability to work with various mechanical and electronic systems are essential to success in this field.\nprovide exceptional customer service and solutions to customers print needs to produce professionally finished products.\nOperates and maintains high-volume black & white and color digital printing equipment controlled through print-management (Fiery) software and PrismaDirect.\nParticipate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.\nEstablish and maintain open lines of communication with administration and staff.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\n RequirementsQualifications
\n\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nValid Texas driver's license.\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.\nAbility to work independently, problem-solve, and multi-task.\nEffective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to operate large volume printers, copiers, computers, and other equipment.\nHigh Attention to detail / quality control.\nSignificant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; moderate standing, stooping, bending, and repetitive hand motions.\nAbility to handle a large volume of requests with composure.\n\n#LI-LM1
