               Printing Maintenance Supervisior 

Reports directly to the Maintenance ManagerLeads the daily activities of the print maintenance group within the maintenance department.Operates in a safe manner at all times.Troubleshoots all maintenance problems and issues related to the print process.Flexibility for occasional overtime Continuous improvement of all print machinesFacilitates and coordinates quotes for parts through JDETraining of print and machine maintenance personnel on plant specific machinery and print machine repairs.Any other duties and/or tasks assigned by management.Manages all maintenance operations within appropriate process guidelines and budgets;Oversees all cost control/justification for department, including purchasing of machine repair parts;Develops and implements modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for new projects and process improvements; Schedules daily repair activities;Maintains preventive maintenance program and insures that these are performed as scheduled;Supervises and inspects repair and maintenance work to insure the effective, efficient and up-to-date maintenance and repair technology practices are used;Reviews and analyzes maintenance work orders to insure that proper repair was made and trends in machine issues are identified;Maintains work order system;Actively meets with vendors and suppliers to insure best price/quality are being received on all part and/or repair orders;Maintains and insures organization of part inventory;Conducts lock-out/tag-out training as needed;Maintains physical plant including grounds;Coordinates with outside repair vendors and insures that their work is completed according to standard procedures.

 

Qualifications

 

Education:

BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

 

Technical Skills:

Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and leadership to peers and subordinates

Repair and Maintenance knowledge of injection molding, stretch blow molding, and assembly equipment

Preventative Maintenance Program development

Knowledge of applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations

Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

Flexibility to work some overtime, as necessary

Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, correspondence and status reports

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and automated work order tracking system.

Experience:

 

5-7 years of progressive experience as a Maintenance Manager in a high volume-manufacturing environment.
