Job Functions

Exercises judgment where appropriate in managing and ensuring the efficient operation of the Printing Department.  Held responsible for quality, equipment condition, safety, the efficient operation of the equipment and production scheduling and planning of product to be produced in the Printing Department.

Summary:  Under general guidance, plans, directs, and manages the printing operation to achieve operating goals and objectives consistent with Plant and Division objectives (safety, quality, productivity, etc.).

Use Lean Daily Management to improve operational effectiveness in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and culture Using Lean manufacturing concepts streamline processes and procedures Supports and assists Plant Manager in daily operation of the facility. Directs the printing production of all items at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications in terms of quality and quantity. Develops, recommends, and implements operating policies and ensures the application of such policies. Coordinates and collaborates with all departments of the plant in establishing and carrying out responsibilities. Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance. Provides leadership directed at continuous improvement in safety, quality / customer satisfaction, and productivity. Provides leadership and direction to production management and employees to continuously improve quality, reduce waste and increase throughput. Assists and supports Plant and Operation Manager in all aspects. Works to maintain a safe work environment and develops and implements safety procedures to aid in achieving departmental safety goals. Directly involved in responsibilities /actions related to Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs. Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required. Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF). Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation. Performs all other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. 2-5 years of management/leadership experience in the offset printing industry or similar manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet research skills Foresight, creativity, sense of urgency, and good organizational skills Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills. Visual Color Discrimination, the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors

This role is incentive plan eligible.  Additional information will be shared during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, past experience, job duties, geography, and business need, among other things.

 

Pay Range:   $99,900.00 - $133,200.00
