Graphics Specialist:
Bowhead is seeking a Printing Services Assistant for the upcoming DTRA Multimedia Support Services effort in Fort Belvoir, VA. This upcoming program will provide printing, photography-videography, graphics and audiovisual/VTC (AV/VTC) support services to the DTRA VI Division in support of the Agency.
Responsibilities Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain standalone computer workstations required to meet demanding graphics and other variable data projects.Knowledge operating Canon multifunction and wide format printers, as well as Canon’s Fiery high-performance appliance.Set up, adjust, and operate duplicating systems with scanning, duplicating, and finishing functions. Operate bindery equipment such as power sealers, power drills and punches, small folding machines, comb, and spiral binding equipment as required to support a variety of production work.Identify output requirements of the job to determine size, quantity, weight, color of paper and imposition of the job to be run, to include head-to-head, head-to-foot, number of copies, enlargements/reductions, and finishing requirements. Work requires the Contractor to stand for extended periods during machine operation and the ability to lift moderately heavy boxes (less than 50 pounds) of paper stocks or other supplies. There is some walking, standing, stooping, and bending in offices, production areas, warehouses, and work areas. The contractor is continually exposed to noise, paper dust, toner, and solvents.Identify when items need to be ordered or repaired. Also change toner and waste cartridges when needed.Work may require operating a GSA vehicle to pick up different weights, colors, and size paper from DTRA Central Processing Facility located on Fort Belvoir, VA.Other duties as assigned.Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded. Qualifications Demonstrate three (3) years of experience of traditional and current printing industry standards for the proper and economical production of printed materials, from inception to completion with the following requirements:Comprehend printing procedures and materials to ensure appropriate paper selection and bindery methods per contract specifications.Knowledge of a variety of reprographic and binding equipment and repair, maintenance troubleshooting techniques, and feature selection.Knowledgeable enough to advise customers on the best solution the print shop offers to meet their needs.Assist government designated representative with the Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventory the contractor personnel shall use.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
