Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of healthcare and make a difference? At Gundersen Health System, we're on the lookout for a dynamic Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team! As a Prior Authorization Specialist, you'll work closely with various departments and insurance companies to secure the essential pre-certifications and authorizations for our top-notch services. You'll ensure that every service ordered or scheduled is backed by the necessary approvals, paving the way for seamless patient care!

What You'll Do:

Contact insurance carriers to obtain benefit coverage, authorizations, and pre-certifications for patients.Follow up with various stakeholders to complete the pre-certification process and resolve any issues.Ensure accuracy and completeness of information while applying knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer requirements.Educate patients and staff on referral and authorization requirements, as well as insurance coverage and eligibility guidelines.Maintain organized records, coordinate scheduling, and meet productivity standards while adhering to Gundersen’s mission and policies.

Hours: 40 hours/weekShift: Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am - 4:30pm (8-hour shifts)Hybrid/Remote eligible after trainingLocation: Onalaska
