Privacy Analyst

The Opportunity:

You will be part of a global and multinational Global Information Security and Privacy team in a dynamic global business. You will play a crucial part in handling customer facing matters and addressing all privacy aspects directly related to OpenText’s business, including customers, vendors, data subjects, and partners.

 

You will have experience with various compliance frameworks and industry certifications, be able to effectively interpret and communicate the privacy requirements to internal stakeholders and teams, and lead efforts to produce actionable plans to meet privacy regulations.  In this role, you will be involved in leading and sustaining the privacy compliance programs by working collaboratively with internal teams, SMEs, external customers, vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders.

 

You Are Great At:

Manage and handle data subjects request received by OpenText

Utilize a dedicated tool to track and monitor the progress of each request, ensuring adherence to legal timeframes and requirements

Conduct research and analysis to provide accurate and timely responses to customer privacy questionnaires.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather the necessary information to respond to said customer questionnaires.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of all data subject requests, questionnaire responses, and vendor assessments.

Participating in continuous improvement initiatives

Stay updated on relevant privacy laws and regulations

 

What It Takes:

1-5 years of experience in a global organization

Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related vocations; Privacy experience a plus

Strong knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), other global privacy laws, and emerging legislation.

Understanding of security controls, privacy, risk management framework and compliance models is a must.

Industry standard certifications (CIPM, CIPP/E, CHPS, CIPM, CIPP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISSMP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, PMI) a plus.

Good analytic, troubleshooting and problem solving

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work alone with minimal supervision effectively and efficiently

Capable of working under pressure in a continually changing environment

Is resourceful in knowing how to research problems and find information or documentation on related topics

Ability to participate in key continuous improvement initiatives.
