Privacy Compliance Consultant, Assistant Vice President, Hybrid

Who we are looking for

State Street is seeking a motivated and energetic Privacy Compliance Consultant to assist with the assessment and durable implementation of regulatory changes globally for applicable privacy and data protection laws and regulations, and to assist the Vice President of Privacy Operations on various privacy compliance matters.

The successful candidate will be part of a small remote team supporting the Global Privacy Office for all State Street locations. The position sits within State Street Corporate Compliance in the Global Privacy Office. This position is ideal for an individual with a background in compliance or legal, or someone with relevant experience in an adjacent field and eager to transition into a compliance or privacy career. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office (In Krakow or Gdansk) to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As Privacy Compliance Consultant you will

Assess the applicability and impact of new and changing global regulatory obligations arising from privacy and data protection laws and regulations

Monitor implementation projects to help ensure the State Street privacy programme remains aligned with the regulatory environment across jurisdictions

Contribute to the design of the Privacy Office’s risk based monitoring and testing plan across geographies and business functions to regularly verify compliance with privacy requirements

Assist with preparing management information reports for State Street legal entities and governance committees

Track and provide monthly updates on the status of various privacy management functions through the tracking of metrics

Assist with the review of evidence to remediate compliance issues 

Handle special projects as needed

Ideally familiarity with the three lines of defense model, regulated environments and Information Technology Control Frameworks

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in law, information systems, finance or other relevant major

4+ years of privacy / data protection compliance, legal, audit or risk & controls experience

Prior compliance, legal, audit or related experience is ideal; alternatively, a desire to transition into a privacy compliance career from an adjacent field such as risk management & internal controls. A relevant certification (CIPP, CIPM) is an advantage

Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint skills are essential; Archer GRC experience is a plus

Full professional proficiency in English is a must; additional languages are highly valued.
