Compensation includes a base salary of $108,800.00 - $181,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Summary:
The Privacy Governance Manager is responsible for executing end-to-end processes and monitoring of practices to ensure compliance of Cox Automotive’s privacy program with state and federal privacy regulations. They will coordinate with legal, data strategy, security, operations, and product/engineering teams to develop privacy programs, monitor data practices, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance. They will focus on understanding data and processes, as well as legal requirements for enhancements needed or gaps that must be resolved. They will support adoption of new processes and technology, while minimizing change and impact via training, communication, and change management. This role helps to effectively balance regulatory requirements and compliance obligations with business objectives. This position has accountability to ensure Cox’s regulatory and internal policy obligations to consumers, regulatory agencies, and internal data privacy controls are being met.

Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor privacy processes and procedures for all areas of Cox AutomotiveExecute on tactical privacy initiatives that are on the privacy roadmap, acting as a central subject matter expert that partners with team members that are federated throughout Cox Automotive Monitor privacy risk across the organization and ensure corrective actions are takenPartner with Legal to manage internal compliance inquiries and attestation letters, ensuring timely, consistent, and accurate responses across all Cox Auto brands and enterpriseLead privacy training programs and awareness campaigns, acting as an agent of culture change Establish clear process guidelines/checklists to ensure each product and engineering team understands how to effectively support and manage data subject access requestsDocument, standardize, and enhance intake workflows across brandsEnhance structured intake process including continuous monitoring and alerts to identify issues for resolutionReview and document existing deletion and opt-out request intake workflows across each brand to identify additional areas of opportunity for improvementExecute privacy policy reviews on a regular schedule to reflect any changes in data handling activities or new product featuresComplete privacy impact assessment (PIA) templates covering areas such as data collection, storage, sharing, and regulatory complianceExecute process for documenting Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) across relevant brands, ensuring comprehensive tracking and alignment with privacy requirementsEncourage product and engineering teams to consider privacy as a part of the design phase of new technology, product, and marketing initiativesSettle disputes between parties effectively and for the best of Cox Automotive; be autonomous and make decisions without oversight when appropriateWho You Are
Requirements:
BA or BS Degree required (i.e., Business, IT, Finance)6+ years of experience in related field (i.e., data and analytics, governance, project management, change management, IT)Minimum 2 years of experience working on cross-functional, high-performing teamsHighly quantitative and data-oriented with the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions, as well the ability to make decisions with ambiguous or incomplete dataDemonstrated ability to be a highly functioning team member and work on initiatives that require cross-functional teamsExcellent interpersonal, organization, and project management skillsDesire to learn about all parts of the Cox Automotive business to better understand the data and related processesExperience in written and oral presentationsExperience in change management, including eliciting information and requirements, facilitating meetings and discussions to reach decisions, creating reference and training materials, and presenting to groups.Creative thinker with an open mind to learn and explore new areas and opportunities, and to develop and recommend opportunities and solutionsStrong ability to give clear and consistent instructions to team members, and to lead, motivate and supervise project and/or working teamsPreferred experience in Data Governance, Data Privacy, Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Discovery, Metadata Management, and Data LineagePreferred experience in the automotive spaceUp to 10% time travel requirementMust live within a commutable distance to the officeDrug Testing
