Overview Private Duty LPN - PRN Days

Location: East Ridge, TN

 

Are you a dedicated LPN looking to make a real impact through one-on-one patient care? We have a high-acuity case for a vent and trach-dependent patient requiring exceptional skill and attention. If you’re passionate about bringing comfort and expertise into patients' homes, this role is for you!

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to a high-acuity patient with vent and trach needs.Monitor and manage G-tube feedings.Perform routine assessments, administer medication, and respond to changes in condition.Collaborate with families to ensure patient comfort and health.

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience with vent and trach care.

Schedule: PRN Days

Responsibilities

• Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice
• Provide patient and family education according to plan as outlined by the RN
• Monitor patient’s vital signs and make specific measurements and observations
• Monitor and record intake and output, and report significant changes immediately
• Observe, assess and record patient’s physical and mental condition and report any changes
• Administer medications as instructed and ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service education programs, as assigned

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing
• Previous home health, private duty, skilled nursing or hospital experience preferred
• Ability to build rapport with patients and family members
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Reliable transportation or valid driver’s license with current automobile insurance
