Private Equity and M&A Sales Specialist

Marsh’s Private Equity and M&A Services (PEMA) is look to hire a Sales Specialist. This practice is a dedicated global team focused on providing insurance, risk management, due diligence, and post-acquisition services to private equity firms, alternative investment firms, infrastructure funds, strategic investors, other financial sponsors, and their related investments.

This position is for a recognized Sales subject matter expert, who manages large projects or processes.  This position upholds a dynamic and growing book of business which meets sales goals and targets, executes growth strategies and manages the sales process across the M&A platform.

Private Equity M&A Services Practice – Sales Specialist

What can you expect: 

Promotes, recommends and sells solutions, products and services to Private Equity Firms, their portfolio companies and other Alternative Asset Investors as part of the Marsh Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) team

Develops, manages and implements sales strategies. Identifies potential customers and cultivates existing customer relationships to close deals.

Facilitates service and product sales delivery in accordance with client agreements and established standards. Creates and presents sales materials, research, proposals and reports.

We will count on you to:

Responsible for a personal sales target and the identification, maintenance or expansion of a book of Private Equity business including transaction opportunities, portfolio companies and portfolio programs

Manages account expansion initiatives, managing and conducting thorough research through various channels of information and targeting specific accounts leveraging a large professional network to proactively generate growth within the Private Equity/ Alternative Asset space.

Thoroughly addresses all RFPs, develops sales presentations and formal sales proposals for related accounts.

Leads the sales process for moderately complex, high-risk, high-yield accounts and works to ensure account satisfaction along all phases of the sales process while negotiating outcomes that create value for the account and the business.

Supports evaluation of the book of business, leverages internal contacts, internal product developments and market developments to identify areas of opportunity and expansion for existing accounts.

Serves as a recognized figure and resource within the Private Equity/ Alternative Investment space with proven credibility, and acts as the chief point of contact for key stakeholders from existing or former accounts to ensure professional relationships are upheld and nourished.

Organizes, and attends at relevant industry conferences, prepares and presents feasibility studies and is a prominent, contributing member of relevant professional organizations and societies to expand and maintain a large professional network, gain exposure and represent the Company and its offerings.

What you need to have:

Bachelor's degree required

Minimum of 5  years of corporate enterprise sales/business development experience

Working knowledge of private investment business model is highly preferred


The applicable base salary range for this role is $134,200 to $286,300.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
