To identify attractive investment opportunities in private companies with a view to selling them in five to seven years to maximise the profit for the bankMaintain strong relationships with the management team co-investors and financiersEnsure governance and incentive structures are appropriateNurture potential exit opportunitiesOptimise balance sheetEnsure appropriate capital structures for all strategiesEnsure succession planning is in placeEvaluate market for potential acquisitions and disposalsProvide strategic insight and align strategy with capital structureSeek and evaluate opportunities for disposals and growth opportunitiesDevise a commercial offer that is feasible for all partiesDevelop an investment thesisObtain preliminary approval for the proposed offer from Private Equity teamPrime the business for exitIdentify prospective buyers and exit mechanismsFollow through on executing successful exitDevise a programme of work to ensure all significant risks are identified and quantified throughAppoint appropriate third party advisors as necessaryCoordinate the process according to tight deadlines and budgetsEnsure that direct commercial due diligence is completed by the teamManage the funding process including equity and debtAnalyse all due diligence information and synthesise into a cohesive investment reportSubmit investment report to the team and RMBInvestment Committee for approvalNegotiate a set of legal agreements that give effect to the finally approved offerEnsure that debt and equity funding has been raisedEnsure management deal is approvedEnsure all regulatory approval has been obtainedEnsure there are legal agreements in place with all parties and executedEnsure all internal sign offs are obtainedEstablish and maintain internal and external networks for deal leadsScan the market for possible opportunitiesDevise a financial model to establish valuation ranges and returnsBenchmark against other market valuations
