Overview COME BUILD YOUR CAREER WITH VIBRA HEALTHCARE! We are seeking a Private Pay Collector to join our team! Responsibilities The Private Pay Collector is responsible for timely follow-up of self-pay receivables and manages self-pay receivables in accordance with Vibra’s Bad Debt Policy. The Private pay Collector will coordinate patient and insurance billings for timely recovery of facility charges to patients for services rendered. This individual also serves as facility representative in communication with the patient and insurance companies concerning facility charges. The Self-pay Collector may also assist the Manager as needed. Required Skills: The Private Pay Collector position requires a high school diploma or equivalent although a college degree is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years billing experience in a healthcare facility. Additional Qualifications/Skills: A minimum of 2 years of facility billing/collection work experience, knowledge of facility billing office procedures and insurance billing collection procedures. Word processing skills of 45 wpm, 10-key by touch and computer experience is necessary as well as a basic understanding of accounting practices. The Refund Specialist must be able to analyze patient accounts to determine accuracy of balances to ensure correct payment and application of adjustments. They must be able to read and interpret UB04’s, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid RA’s as well as work with payers and staff to address outstanding account issues. The Private Pay Collector must possess the ability to handle information in a confidential manner. Qualifications At Vibra Healthcare, employees are our priority.
