POSITION SUMMARY:
The Portfolio Management (PM) Associate is an integral member of a Wealth Management team who
assists Financial Advisors / Private Wealth Advisors with developing financial plans and investment
strategies based on client goals. The Portfolio Management Associate creates a consistent and positive
client experience to help ensure all commitments are completed and delivered in a timely manner. This
role requires an in-depth understanding of market conditions, trends and overall economic outlook in
order to provide both client and portfolio management support to the team.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Portfolio Management Business Development:
Makes asset allocation recommendations to the group and sets up the portfolio in conjunction with the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor Proactively evaluates and upgrades platforms for the Portfolio Management Group; implements decisions by using the LYDIA trading platform Determines scope of and performs necessary database and internet research, screenings, and produces monthly or quarterly reports using proprietary software Critically examines current holdings to evaluate if portfolio action is warranted Attends research meetingsClient Support:
Regularly meets with clients to discuss investment strategy options and perform market reviews with or on behalf of the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor Manages clients’ estate, trust, retirement, and insurance objectives with the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor Screens new client prospects that are developed through leads and referrals to determine suitability for addition to group Develops marketing and seminar material and helps distribute targeted presentations to clients on behalf of the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth AdvisorPOSITION SUMMARY:

5 years of experience in a field relevant to the position requiredFour-year college degree or professional certification preferredActive Series 7 (GS) and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA)Additional product licenses may be requiredMandarin fluency preferredKnowledge/Skills

Business Service OfficerExpected base pay rates for the role will be between $50,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
