PRN, Corporate Director Supply Chain Account Management

The Corporate Director of Supply Chain Account Management directs, implements, and administers Corporate-wide supply chain processes, cost saving initiatives, and materials management efficiencies for our owned, managed, and affiliate healthcare facilities. This position will be working onsite with our CHC affiliated Supply Chain clients.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provides corporate supply chain and materials management direction and support to approximately 30 acute care facilities.
+ Provides strategic direction for materials management and supply chain operations for owned and managed hospitals that are assigned
+ Manages Corporate Supply Chain Functions to include custom contracting, hospital level Materials Management, Corporate Department Operations and implementing best practices for procurement, inventory management & distribution, and logistics for owned and managed facilities.
+ Provides support and serves as a resource for driving contract compliance and cost savings initiatives for GPO affiliate members.
+ Ensuring new GPO & CHC Contracts are implemented for assigned facilities with the correct contract information to facilitate accurate reporting capabilities and a high level of contract compliance with CHC Supply Trust and GPO agreements for cost savings, rebates, and market share and/or volume commitment level requirements.
+ Works collaboratively with clinical, medical staff, and the facility Materials Management Department to develop and maintain programs and processes designed to ensure contract compliance measures are maintained.
+ Conduct comprehensive operational and logistical assessments at designated facilities as needed or assigned to identify areas for cost savings and operational improvement.
General Duties
+ Serves as an operational and technical resource for materials management in the communication and resolution of related issues; negotiates successful resolutions and provides education about materials management, supply chain operations, and GPO/CHC Contracts.
+ Manages and optimizes supplier and vendor performance including continuous improvement, innovations, conflict resolution, and escalation as necessary to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
+ Fosters a positive environment in working with Facility Supply Chain Directors to develop a high level of productivity and commitment to their own Facility to ensure that they are meeting the needs of departmental customers, co-workers and others they encounter during their work
+ Exhibits appropriate quality service behaviors in meeting and/or exceeding the needs of departmental customers, co-workers and others they encounter as representative of CHC
+ Maintains up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends and government regulations as appropriate for materials management and GPO-related issues
+ Upholds and supports the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
+ Ability to travel 25% – 35% to support facilities and lead new onboarding implementation.
Requirements
Requires 7+ years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting including 3+ years of experience as a Director of Materials Management, Purchasing or similar responsibility with demonstrated success in supply chain operational management, effective contract negotiation, and implemented cost savings is required.
Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care administration or other related field, or the equivalent analytical, organizational, and communication experience and skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
+ Knowledge of healthcare purchasing, products and services, inventory management systems, distribution/operations, contracting and automated systems
+ Knowledge of group purchasing organizations, programs and processes
+ Knowledge and general familiarity with multiple healthcare MMIS platforms
+ Knowledge of standard health care product descriptions, units of measure, and pricing information often maintained in a materials management information system
+ Ability to identify and resolve operational and administrative problems at both a strategic and functional level
