Open to PRN? Part Time? Or Full Time position ask us about our flexible Work Schedule, 8 to 5 Monday thru Friday, or three to four, 10 hour work days, 30 to 40 hours per week, flexible work schedule during Monday thru Sunday, Day Shift

Responsibilities

 

 

The Hospice Spiritual Care Coordinator is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients, families and caregivers of Signature Hospice, either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors.

 

Facilitate the development of the individualized plan of care to meet identified spiritual needs.Assure spiritual assessment of patients, families and caregivers are appropriate and services are rendered in a timely manner.Provide direct spiritual care to patients, families and caregivers.Provide for funeral of memorial services.Recruit community chaplains, spiritual counselors, and spiritual care volunteers adequate to meet patient needs by developing community contacts and offering education through congregations about hospice care.Assist in supervision of spiritual care volunteers. Qualifications/Skillsets Must possess a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) or Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree from an accredited seminary or school of theology, or equivalent theological degree.Experience working with death and dying, and the spiritual needs of the terminally ill, their family and caregivers.Must have a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.Understanding and commitment to the philosophy of hospice concept.Comfortable in an interfaith setting, and the ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and values.
