Key Responsibilities

Coordinate medical services under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and RATC Medical director and providers.Function as a resource person for nursing and anything involving medical matters within Burrell RATC.Provide patient assessments utilizing a high level of clinical competence and communicating information in a concise manner to RATC providers to aid in admission of clients to RATC.Guarantee that all medical and medication records are up-to-date and accurate.Oversee infectious disease control, client hygiene and related client and facility health issues.Maintains safety of clients by monitoring health status while client is admitted to RATC.Communicates pertinent client health information and client health status changes to RATC provider and /or outside providers to maintain client safety and the possible need for transfer to a higher level of care.Complete routine nursing duties to include urine drug testing, vital signs, medication reconciliation and education etc. as ordered by RATC providers and provide follow up as required.Secure records from outside agencies when necessary, adhering to HIPPA regulations pertaining to confidentiality and sharing of information.Maintain constructive relations with outside agencies within the local medical community.Participate in client staffings by informing RATC of pertinent medical/client health issues.Works in conjunction with RATC Tech staff by providing support and supervision as needed to provide a high level of care to RATC clients.

Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered NurseExperience with psychiatric nurse or related field
