The PRN Nursing Supervisor at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital collaborates with unit leadership to ensure appropriate staffing and serves as a resource to the Nursing staff. They provide continued competence in the practice and of professional nursing in terms of both knowledge and skill. They show a willingness to demonstrate flexibility for staffing as demanded based on hospital needs. They have knowledge of growth and development and ability to meet the age-related needs of the patient populations served.
The Nursing Supervisor collaborates with unit leadership to ensure appropriate staffing during assigned shift. They serve as a liaison between nursing and other departments. They provide consultation to Nurse Managers on administrative issues. The nurse supervisor confers with Nursing staff, individually, as patient or staff needs may dictate. They confer with Hospital Administrator, on-call, about patient, family, physician, staff, and community problems when necessary. They evaluate nursing care activities of each unit throughout the shift. They demonstrate the ability to resolve the complexities of bed allocation.
Requirements:
BSN, MSN preferred.3-5 years of previous job-related experience, 6-10 years preferredMinimum of three years hospital nursing experienceManagerial Experience: 1-2 yearsCharge nurse or nursing supervisor experienceACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified)CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)Current Registered Nurse License State of IllinoisPreferred:
