PRN Pharmacy Technician
**_What Retail Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health_** Retail Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring the correct and safe dispensing of prescription medications to the general public, in accordance with legal, ethical and professional guidelines; may also consult with and advise patients and physicians regarding prescribed and over-the-counter medications. **_Job Summary_** Cardinal Health manages the retail pharmacy at Central Maine Medical Center and we are currently hiring for a PRN pharmacy technician to work "as needed" during facility hours. Facility hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturday, 8:00am-4:00pm. **_Responsibilities_** + Maintains professional working relationships, with all medical personnel. + Understands the requirements of working in a pharmacy. + Be available to the customer/patients and maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with customers. + Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. + Organizes and assists pharmacist. + Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed. + Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. + Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed. + Other duties as assigned. **_Qualifications_** + High school degree or equivalent preferred. + Maine Pharmacy Technician license/registration. + National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) preferred. + Prior pharmacy technician experience. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Strong customer service skills. + Demonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smart phones and tablets. **_What is expected of you and others at this level_** + Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks. + Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area. + Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications. + Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution. + Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods. + Adheres to all quality guidelines. + Works under moderate degree of supervision. + Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor. + Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor. **Anticipated hourly range:** $17.80 per hour - $25.40 per hour. **Bonus eligible:** No **Benefits:** Paid time off in compliance with applicable laws. **Application window anticipated to close:** 08/17/2024 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.
