PRN Registered Nurse (RN) - Events Medicine

As an Events Medicine Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide basic first aid care to fans attending various events at all three of the major venues in Cleveland, including the Browns Stadium, Progressive Field and Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. 

 
A caregiver in this position works days/evenings/nights/weekends from 3:00PM –  
10:00PM or 4:00PM – 11:00PM. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Provide basic first aid.  

Perform primary assessments and document findings.  

Work on an as needed basis to ensure medical coverage at sporting venues.  

Triage and determine a treatment/discharge plan.  

Administer oral, IV or injectable medications.  

Collaborate with emergency department physicians and call patient reports to receiving hospitals.  

 
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Current Ohio licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).  

Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Life Support Instructor through the American Heart Association (AHA).  

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Experienced Provider Instructor or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Experienced Provider through the American Heart Association (AHA).  

Two years of experience in an emergency department or critical care area.  

Capable of providing basic first aid and assessment to injured and ill fans.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to care for injured or ill fans, ability to transfer patient from bed to patient cot Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
