Job Overview:
The Pro Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pro shop, ensuring a high level of customer service, maintaining inventory, managing staff, and driving sales. This role requires a combination of retail management skills, sports knowledge, and customer service expertise.
Your Responsibilities:
Organize and Manage Court Reservations and Disbursement Receive, Confirm and execute requests for lessons and schedule with appropriate teaching professional Organize court sheets for future events, league matches and maintenance Establish and monitor promotions, reservations and sales for programs and lessons Knowledge of Point of Sale System Mastery of Jonas Point of Sale System and Mindbody scheduling. Process sales of lessons, clinics and merchandise Accounting and financial record keeping for pro shop Supervision and Implementation of proper end of day sales close out procedure Sell merchandise Promote sale of merchandise Offer assistance to members/guests Take orders Order merchandise Establish and maintain good relations with manufacturers’ representatives Periodically survey members to determine needs Read trade journals, attend trade shows (i.e. Super Show) to buying options Receive and Record merchandise Display merchandise Inventory merchandise Store merchandise Manage, Clean, Organize floor, work areas and storage Establish and monitor procedures for opening/closing Hire and train all new staff members in accordance with Employee Manual Follow all club/company policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Manual(s) Assist in payroll on a bi-weekly basis Follow all general club/company policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Manual(s) Attend all weekly supervisor/department head meetings Attend quarterly all-staff meetings Accept and complete any assignment deemed appropriate by the Director Of Tennis, General Manager or Manager on Duty
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a pro shop, sports or merchandise related environment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in retail management software and point-of-sale systems. Knowledge of sports equipment and merchandise.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Capability to lift and carry items up to 30 lbs. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.

Compensation: $25.00 Hourly
