Pro Shop Manager

Job Overview:
The Pro Shop Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Pro Shop at our community golf course. This role ensures the smooth operation of the Pro Shop by managing retail operations and the maintenance facility setup while delivering a high-quality experience for members and guests.

Compensation: $40,000 annually, based on experience.
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be determined by the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage Pro Shop and Golf Course staff, ensuring exceptional service and efficient operations Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and increase revenue through events and promotions Manage the golf operation plan, including budgeting, financial analysis, and performance reporting Enforce golf course policies, rules, and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment Oversee golf programs, tournaments, and events to drive engagement and participation Enhance the golf shop’s merchandising program through effective inventory management and product presentation Conduct and oversee monthly inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels Coordinate with member organizations to plan and execute golf-related functions and activities Attend staff and executive meetings, providing operational updates and strategic insights Work closely with the Maintenance Superintendent to schedule turf care, course closures, and tournament setups Maintain staff accountability through consistent application of discipline and performance management Manage and oversee the golf handicap system to ensure accuracy and fairness Develop and refine Policies and Procedures to optimize Golf Operations Track and analyze daily revenue, identifying trends and opportunities for financial growth Ensure member and guest satisfaction through proactive engagement and excellent service

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in golf course operations, event planning, and retail management preferred Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and oversee staff Knowledge of golf course maintenance, rules, and regulations Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to develop and manage budgets and financial reports

 

Education and Experience:

Experience using ticket sales systems and payment processing systems Degree in recreation, hospitality, or a communication-related field preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in coordinating and promoting activities and events High school diploma or equivalent preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

Walk and move throughout the community common areas and facilities Sit and stand for moderate periods of time Sit at a desk using a computer in an office setting

Work Location: Sun Village Community Association; 17300 N Sun Village Pkwy, Surprise, AZ 85374
Work Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, from Oct. 1 to April 30. From May 1 to Sept. 30, hours are 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
