Hours: Monday-Friday between the hours of 6am-10pm with at least one evening required. Additionally, eight hours of weekend work (between Friday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 p.m.) are required quarterly. Community Based Corrections District 5 is seeking a highly motivated, skilled Probation/Parole Officer 3 in our Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) Unit to serve our Southern 8 Counties. What You’ll Do As a Probation/Parole Officer 3, you will: + Supervise community based corrections clients who score as level 4 through level 5 on the risk assessment tools to be at high risk for violence, victimization and overall recidivism. Conduct home visits on Probation and Parole clients. + Address and help facilitate resolution to issues that arise with clients. + Conduct and utilize risk assessments that identify risk, needs, and responsivity. + Prepare and present accurate written and oral reports on clients for the courts, parole board, administrative hearings, and in-house staffing’s and outside agencies. + Facilitate cognitive behavioral evidence-based groups with effectiveness and fidelity. + Act as a lead worker with responsibilities such as assisting with supervisory duties, continuous quality improvement, and training/mentoring other staff.
