JOB SUMMARY
The Procedure Support Assistant is an integral part of the Radiology procedural team in providing support to patient, providers and staff. This individual assists with all procedure aspects in planning and caring for patient’s care, comfort, and safety prior to the procedure, during the procedure, and post procedure and performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s (MCHS) mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Graduate of a medical assistant or licensed practical nurse program.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Working knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrated leadership ability.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire in addition to one of the following:
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) orCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) orSurgical Technologist certification awarded by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting orLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license awarded by the State of WisconsinPreferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
