**Job Title: Process Assembler**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a wire processor for a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will work on repetitive to non-repetitive assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical cable assemblies and electrical sub-assemblies. The role requires working off a computer tablet for instructions, drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams during the production process. The candidate will utilize their knowledge of cable/wire termination and crimping specifications, and various hand tools, semi-automatic and manual wire crimper and various power tools. The candidate will also need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically and utilize a tape measure to ensure the length of the wires are correct to 1/8 of an inch. This candidate will process the wire that needs to be cut for the wire assemblers for their upcoming work orders. Might get trained as a wire assembler as well, but will mainly work in this department.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical cable assemblies and electrical sub-assemblies.
+ Work from computer tablet instructions, drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams.
+ Utilize knowledge of cable/wire termination and crimping specifications.
+ Use various hand tools, semi-automatic and manual wire crimpers, and power tools.
+ Lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
+ Measure wire lengths accurately to 1/8 of an inch.
+ Process wires for upcoming work orders.
+ Potentially train as a wire assembler.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with assembly and wiring.
+ Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
+ Ability to follow instructions via a computer tablet.
+ Knowledge of cable/wire termination and crimping specifications.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand all day.
+ Precision in measurement.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 6 months to 1 year of wire assembly experience.
+ 1 year of manufacturing experience.
+ Ability to read a tape measure to 1/8 of an inch.
+ Excellent attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

**Work Environment**
This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa. Our facility operates two shifts: 1st shift -7:30am-4pm, Monday-Friday. The temperature-controlled facility is extremely clean and modern, with art adorning the walls. Team members can listen to headphones/iPhones while working and have their own lockers for personal belongings. The dress code is casual, with jeans and a work-appropriate shirt or sweatshirt permitted. Our team size varies between 20 to 30 employees, with most work done independently at 'cell' workstations. Seating is not guaranteed, but some jobs do offer that option. We pride ourselves on fostering a family-oriented culture in our small, but growing facility. We add more staff during busy seasons to maintain our high standards.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
