Our Bagdad operations in Arizona offers housing at a subsidized rate, a family-friendly atmosphere and numerous amenities including an aquatic center, golf course and fitness center. Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial - scale concentrate leach processing facility, as well as one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.  Visit the Bagdad town website (https://bagdadaztown.com/) to learn more. **Description** Under general supervision, troubleshoot process control systems to support operators and process engineers. + Troubleshoot regulatory and advanced control, controller equipment and software, and the human machine interface + Investigate the root cause(s) of poor performing processes, identify any process automation contributors, and execute corrective actions + Maintain alarm systems + Troubleshoot basic process instrumentation (basic sensors and actuation) + Troubleshoot process control system communication networks and the plant historian + Perform other duties as required. **Qualifications** Minimum Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in engineering relevant to Process Automation, OR + Master’s degree in appropriate Engineering discipline and two (2) years related experience in engineering relevant to Process Automation. Preferred Qualifications: + Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic + 1 year of process control systems experience Criteria/Conditions: + Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required. + Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as allowed by applicable state laws **What We Offer You** The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently  **$82,000-$113,000.**  This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
