Are you ready to take on the role of Process Control Engineer for a major engineering firm in Hidden Valley, Morobe, Papua New Guinea? As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our systems and processes.

Role Overview

Configuration Management: Manage and maintain configuration of systems and equipment. Electrical Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning process for electrical systems. Fire Protection & Prevention: Implement and maintain fire protection and prevention measures. Distributed Control Systems: Monitor and troubleshoot distributed control systems. Advanced Process Control: Utilize advanced process control techniques to optimize operations. Experience with Yokogawa Centum VP DCS is a plus. Familiarity with Siemens S7 PLC is a plus. Experience with Rockwell Model Predictive Control is a plus. Familiarity with OSISOFT PI Historian Citect SCADA (Optional): Knowledge of Citect SCADA is a plus. Toshiba V Series PLC SIMATIC Drives Honeywell Down Time Reporter (Optional): Familiarity with SIMATIC Drives Honeywell Down Time Reporter is a plus. Knowledge of DTS (Distributed Temperature System) is a plus.

Skills & Qualifications

Tertiary Engineering Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic, Computer Science or similar field. Minimum at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Operational, Design and Commissioning Experience: Proven experience with operational, design and commissioning of various technologies. Integrated System Communication Protocol Knowledge: Familiarity with integrated system communication protocols such as MODBUS TCP/IP, ETHERNET I/P, PROFIBUS and OPC. Loop Tuning: Experience with loop tuning of single loop and cascade loop configurations.

Education & Experience

Qualifications: Tertiary engineering qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic, Computer Science or similar field
