Process Controls Engineer Manufacturing St. Louis, MO, US Pay Rate Low: 40 | Pay Rate High: 50 + Added - 30/10/2024 Apply for Job **Our client is a high-purity chemical manufacturer looking to expand their engineering team with a new Process Controls Engineer!** Located in St. Louis, MO **6 month contract to hire** **Pay:** $40-50/hour This position operates under general supervision in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role involves recommending, specifying, and implementing upgrades to improve quality, increase efficiency, and reduce downtime. **Responsibilities** + Collaborate with production teams to develop control narratives, process descriptions, and functional requirements. + Work closely with engineers and operators throughout all phases of engineering projects, from conception to implementation. + Create and modify control programs for automation systems. + Read, create, and modify process diagrams and related documentation. + Design, implement, maintain, and enhance control system architecture and related equipment. + Prepare specifications for control hardware and manage procurement from vendors. + Assist with installation and configuration of control devices. + Inspect installations and operations to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards. + Investigate operational issues, determine the nature of problems, and recommend solutions. + Stay informed about technological advancements to optimize control systems. + Utilize design software to create layouts and schematics. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. + 2-5 years of experience in controls or automation engineering, preferably in a manufacturing setting. **Knowledge and Skills** + Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. + Familiarity with process diagrams and control systems. + Experience with startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning in industrial environments. \#INDBH We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
