GENERAL FUNCTION: Execute complex, multiple line of business, breakthrough process, improvement initiatives which support the Fifth Third Forward’s strategic focus areas. Work with LOB and functional partners to plan, develop, manage, implement, track benefits for improvement projects which deliver operational efficiency, expense savings, improved customer experience, revenue growth, enhanced quality, and/or regulatory excellence. Position requires a blend of business process analysis, data analysis, project management, change management, and team leadership. This role is responsible for mentoring Process Design Analysts in applying the applicable methodologies and tools.

Achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Apply Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) techniques in new product features which deliver process improvements within Fifth Third Forward.
· Drive focus and accountability in alignment with the Fifth Third Forward’s strategic focus areas, working seamlessly across the lines of business and functions to maximize the return for the organization.
· Develop comprehensive project plans for assigned projects, including: deliverables, milestones, target dates, owners, dependencies, and other relevant information.
· Partner with lines of business and other functional business partners to execute the implementation of process improvement projects.
· Provide a cross-functional perspective; initiate and lead the appropriate level of collaboration.
· Apply design thinking principles to identify and solve complex business problems
· Work with Fifth Third Forward product and development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements
· Record project activity for progress reporting.
· Develop and maintain project charters which indicate a primary measure of success with a baseline and target value, and secondary constraint measure, where applicable.
· Serve as a consultative advisor to key business leaders.
· Analyze complex business problems and make recommendations.
· Provide insight and foresight which may lead to optimization project recommendations.
· Leverage objective, data-driven Lean Six Sigma tools and methods in all process improvement work.
· Develop and deploy control plans and monitoring reports which help the business sustain the gains from process improvements.
· Report regularly on progress against established project plans.
· Execute all tasks with high-quality, timely delivery. Manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Maintain a constant vigilance to identify, quantify, and assess current and evolving best practices.
· Coach others in the practical use of Lean Six Sigma tools and methods.
· Lead development of user personas, journey maps, and prototypes to test and refine solutions
· Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering related field. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
· Minimum five years of experience in delivering business results through process improvement projects.
· Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
· Proven experience in change management and team building.
· Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
· Business analysis experience.
· Banking knowledge preferred.
· Ability to present to senior management on sensitive subject matters.
