Job Title: Process Development Support EngineerJob Description We are seeking a Process Development Support Engineer to join our team in Burlington, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities associated with Process Quality Engineering, focusing on procedures and Quality Systems. This role requires leading the development and improvement of standardized quality systems processes, ensuring compliance with design criteria, quality standards, and production requirements for parts and equipment used in aircraft engines. Responsibilities + Coordinate with multiple departments to create and revise procedural documentation related to general quality system processes, focusing on manufacturing processes. + Implement process failure modes and effects analysis (PFMEA) and measurement system analysis to confirm inspection capability. + Facilitate project teams' connection to quality systems by helping them understand quality system requirements and set up project data for long-term execution and monitoring. + Perform risk assessments to prioritize corrective and mitigating actions related to product safety, including executing PFMEA on existing and emerging processes. + Independently perform internal quality system audits and audits of special processes. + Handle special projects as assigned by Quality Management. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applicable work experience of three to five years in a manufacturing quality role, with aerospace experience preferred. + Advanced understanding of risk analysis techniques, including PFMEA. + Understanding of machining and inspection processes with proven ability to implement and sustain statistical process controls. + Knowledge of AS9100 and AS13100 Quality Standard requirements. + Familiarity with 14CFR Part 21 and Part 145 requirements, preferred. + Proven ability in written communication, including technical writing and presentations. + Experience with Microsoft Office products. + Experience with ERP and MES products, with IFS and/or Solumina preferred. + Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with FAA regulations. + Ability to travel up to three to five times per year for supplier audits. Work Environment This position is based onsite at the manufacturing/assembly plant in Burlington, NC. The work environment includes a climate-controlled office and occasional exposure to manufacturing areas requiring personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection, and safety shoes. Some travel is expected for supplier audits, approximately three to five trips per year. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $93000.00 Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, and paid national holidays. Relocation assistance provided. 401K 8%. 16 National holidays, 10 days of PTO, 6 sick days, four personal days. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Burlington,NC.
