Quality Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesThe Process Engineer works at our plastic injection molding plant. His/her main mandate is to manage projects involving the introduction of new production processes and the layout of workstations. He/she also manages the equipment performance monitoring system and supports various quality and process improvement projects.•\tPlan and coordinate production introduction projects to ensure efficient production start-up of new tooling and equipment.•\tAct as liaison between product engineering and production teams.•\tManage or support various projects involving workstation layout, quality improvement, operational processes and health and safety.•\tManage the equipment performance monitoring software by updating and revising performance targets, and provide user support.•\tCarry out cost estimates for new products and update BOMs and production routines.•\tSupport the production team according to priorities and operational needs: analyze and resolve non-compliant situations, optimize work tools, carry out follow-ups or audits.•\tLiving ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering.3-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the field of plastic injection.Experience in project management and optimization of operational processes using Lean Manufacturing concepts.Good computer skills (Office Suite, MRP, AutoCAD).Autonomy and initiative to manage projects and priorities in line with objectives, highly developed organizational and problem-solving skills.Collaborative teamwork and leadership skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills, bilingualism is essential (French and English, spoken and written). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
