Job Description

Accountable for new and existing equipment and lead continuous improvement activities in the location targeted at cost reduction, productivity and process optimization, and/or quality performance achievement. Evaluate process improvement opportunities, define process metrics, develop improvement plans, and lead improvement events.

Define and establish new business and new products in existing business production processes and targeted production rates and capacitiesConduct studies to improve production rates and capacitiesRecommend revision of methods in operations, alterations in equipment layout, or other changes to improve productivityDevelop layouts for efficient flow and effective productionChampion and lead continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiativesRecommend, manage, and conduct cost-improvement initiativesPrepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilizationConduct regularly scheduled reviews of KPIs and gap analysesEstablish and drive the ongoing tracking of CI metricsTrain others in new processes and lean methodologiesPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications4 year / Bachelors Degree - Manufacturing/Industrial/ Process Engineering or equivalent8+ years of relevant experienceMicrosoft Office experience is requiredAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulationAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and proceduresAbility to apply mathematical skills to such tasks as analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, statistical process control, and determination of test reliability and validityAbility to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problemsAbility to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.Required to stand and walk frequentlyOccasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlOccasionally lift items to a height of three to four feet and/or move items that weigh up to 50 poundsRegularly exposed to moving mechanical parts

 

Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $84,100.00 to $134,600.00 annually. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
