Process Engineer
Summary: Perform functions to research, develop, document, qualify, and implement production processes for standard and custom packaged semiconductor products. Establish stable manufacturing processes at the prototype phase and release to production. Review, develop, and update statistical process control methods and related documentation, working within the limits of established policies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: + Develops new processes and identifies and implements changes in product flow to support the production ramp-up of RF Systems products through application of lean manufacturing principles. + Works with others to implement process improvements and to train operators as needed. + Participates in weekly Technical Review Board (TRB) meetings for the disposition of discrepant material and determination of root cause/corrective action. Documents customer corrective action requests. + Defines and specifies the requirement for assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support current manufacturing operations. + Responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of assembly equipment to reduce downtime. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as required. + Supports the implementation of new automation assembly equipment including programming, process qualifications, and supporting tooling design through the tooling group. + Participates in design reviews for product and process compatibility. Other Duties & Responsibilities: + Ability to apply the scientific method and critical thinking skills to solve technical problems. + Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently to complete tasks and solve problems. + Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Must be able to work collaboratively in teams and exude positive interpersonal behavior. Requirements Job Qualifications: + Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineer, or equivalent, required. + Prior experience in a microelectronic manufacturing environment required. + Prior experience with AutoCAD required. + Prior experience with Statistical Analysis Software required + Prior experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) required. Other Requirements: + Must be available to work at the 900 Mount Laurel Circle, Shirley, MA headquarters location (remote work/telecommuting arrangements and relocation assistance are both unavailable.) + Must be legally eligible to work in the United States (employment visa sponsorship is not available.) + Must be able to pass a background check investigation.
